When Benjamin Franklin said long ago that the only certainty of life was death and taxes, he didn’t fully understand it. He should have said “death, taxes, and androgenetic alopecia.” This is because most men experience hair loss at some point in their lives. It may make reading depressing if you happen to be a man, but that doesn’t mean you just have to sit there and wait for your hair to come off. The good news is that some types of hair loss are treatable.

Knowledge, like many, is power. If you understand some of the causes of baldness, you are in a much better position to take steps to prevent it from happening. It may not be possible. After all, some types of hair loss are inevitable. Nevertheless, knowing the facts about baldness may help prevent preventable things, delay unavoidable things, and treat hair loss that comes your way in the best possible way. not. Read below for more information.

    Common causes of hair loss

    Family characteristics

Some men experience hair loss as a direct result of heredity. If you want to know if you fall into that category, take a look at your older male relatives. If your family has a bald history, you may experience the same.

Even if you fall into the “miserable by genetics” category, not everything is lost. There is still a cure open to you. The details will be soon.

    Medical reason

Some medical conditions can cause hair loss. If you have a serious illness that requires a course of radiation or chemotherapy, you are more likely to have subsequent hair loss. Powerful medicines can also affect hair. Steroids, anticoagulants, antidepressants, and high doses of vitamin A can all contribute to hair loss.

Other conditions that can cause hair loss include anemia and thyroid problems. Inflammation of the scalp, psoriasis and dandruff are also dangerous signs. Itching caused by these conditions often causes scratches on the patient’s side. This can loosen the hair and, in severe cases, leave scars on the scalp.

Autoimmune diseases occur when the body’s immune system mistakenly identifies external threats and otherwise begins to attack healthy cells. This can result in the shape of a patch baldness known as alopecia areata.

    Lifestyle factors

Poor eating habits are another important factor in hair loss. Lack of important nutrients in the form of proteins, vitamins, fatty acids and zinc can cause a type of hair loss known as telogen effluvium. Other lifestyle factors, such as smoking and lack of exercise, can affect the natural growth cycle of hair by limiting blood flow to the scalp. Stress can also cause hair to fall off.

How to treat your hair loss

    Prevention

Prevention is always better than cure. Therefore, I am relieved to know that some of the causes of trichotillomania just mentioned can be stopped and even undone in some cases. Identifying the root cause of your hair loss is an important step in this.

For example, most cases of hair loss caused by a medical condition or treatment begin to disappear when the condition improves and the medications taken to treat it are no longer needed. Changes to your diet or lifestyle will also correct hair loss resulting from those factors.

Treatment of progressive or hereditary hair loss

Not all hair loss can be easily undone. Advanced stages of trichotillomania, or trichotillomania due to genetic factors, cannot simply be undone due to lifestyle changes. Individuals of stage 3 or higher on the Norwood scale to measure hair loss may require more direct intervention.

The decision on the appropriate treatment should always be made in consultation with a hair specialist, and hair transplantation is one such option. Advances in science and technology have greatly improved the effectiveness of modern hair transplant surgery. One of the most common and effective procedures is performed using follicular unit extraction (FUE) surgery. This includes transplanting hair follicles from the donor site of the head to the flaked area.

Another option is MicroScalp Pigmentation (MSP). This involves applying pigment to the scalp in a process similar to tattooing to create the appearance of a shaved head.

    Final idea

Hair loss in men is becoming more and more common, but it can still be a fairly traumatic experience for some individuals, especially young men. That’s why I’m relieved to know that there are options to help prevent, delay and treat hair loss. All you need to do is find out what these are – hopefully this article has helped with that.

If you’ve tried some of the treatments outlined above and are still worried about hair loss, it may be time to consult a specialist. Vinci Hair Clinic offers all new clients a free consultation with one of our experts. This is an opportunity that should not be missed. Contact us now and make a reservation.
